USlegal, Inc. CEO Says “State Specific Living Will a Must,” Company Posts Educational Material on Website
JACKSON, MS – In the wake of the debate over Terri Schiavo, Frank D. Edens, CEO of USlegal, Inc., is urging consumers to prepare a Living Will that complies with the laws of their home state. USlegal, Inc. is the parent company of USlegalforms.com.
“There is a growing interest in Living Wills because of the Schiavo case. While legal forms may be accessible from websites and self-help books, there are dangers in using generic or free forms,” said Edens.
Edens says the problem with using a generic or free form is that it may not comply with individual state laws.
“Situations have arisen when people think they have the protection they need, but later discover that their form was not written in the required language necessary to hold up in court. People need to go the extra step to make sure they are getting a valid form,” says Edens.
Edens says USlegalform.com has posted a new information section on Living Wills on its home page to educate consumers on the topic and to make sure they get the proper form.
While consumers can use the USlegalforms.com website to obtain legal forms, Edens says people should contact legal professionals if they require assistance.
“If you have questions about Living Wills for your particular situation, you should consider consulting an attorney to draft or review your form,” Edens said.
